telling a story
typhoon created an astonishing concept album that told the powerful story of a man slowly losing his memory. in an age of ever-shortening short attention spans, it was our job to ensure the narrative was presented to the world in the right way.
Offerings, a concept album about one man's struggle with the loss of his memory, is made up of four 4-song movements.
for the album announcement, we chose to release the first movement, "Floodplains", as one 25-minute track on streaming platforms upon launch, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves into the story right off the bat. two weeks later, we followed up with the release of "Rorschach", our lead single & 2nd track off the "Floodplains" movement, and began servicing to radio.
the big reveal
about a month before we officially launched the Offerings campaign, the band reemerged to announce a series of intimate listening events in key markets (LA, SF, portland, seattle, NYC & more), where a handful of fans could purchase an early pre-order of the record along with the opportunity to spend time with members of Typhoon in their city and hear the new record on tape in full before anyone else.

the band worked with artist & friend Nevan Doyle to execute their vision for the album's overall art direction, producing album artwork (digital & print), animated track visualizers / lyric videos, and tour admat.

we then worked with the band's mgmt team to create two limited-edition vinyl variants for pre-order (blood red) & indie retail (gold).
